Developmental Screening

Ages 3 through 6

Provided once a year through the Kline Learning Strategy Center. Results given to classroom teacher. Parents receive a written report of results and recommendations.

Hearing Screening

2 ½ years through 6^th Grade

Provided once a year through the Kline Learning Strategy Center. Parents receive written results and referrals where indicated.

Vision Screening

Primary and Intermediate

Provided once a year by a developmental optometrist. Emphasis on eye function.

Visual Sensory Integration

3 years through 6^th Grade

Important for emotional balance, confidence, visual memory and visual motor skills.

One session provided each year. More sessions may be recommended ansd are available and are available on a fee basis.

School Readiness Screening

Between ages 4 and 6

Provided as part of the preprimary program. Recommendations provided to teachers and parents.

Learning Strategies Screening

Primary and Intermediate

Provided at least once a year. Teachers and parents receive results and recommendations.

Super Learner Clinics

Primary and Intermediate

Provided at least once a year. Includes practice with efficient learning strategies, listening and memory training, biofeedback training. Teachers, parents and students receive follow-up recommendations.

First Aide

Available on campus.

KCDS staff members are trained in CPR and First Aid.
